All of these countries now dominate dozens of planets, and form a significant part of the Democratic Federation.

History

With the Scinfaxi Invasion of Britain and Europe over 20 million English men and woman were evacuated to Canada in the largest exodus in the history of mankind. With the prospect of retaking the British Isles in serious doubt, the British Royalty and the Canadian parliament decreed that any member of the British Commonwealth who arrived in Canada would be given instant Anglo-Canadian Citizenship.

From this agreement arose the Anglo-Canadian Kingdom, with the limited nobility from England, Scotland and Wales flourishing in the social hierarchy that was established, Canadians became a part of the stratified British identity. "Resolute Militarism", however, enveloped everyone regardless of original nationality; even those that were not Anglophone.

The economic recovery in the 1960s made the Anglo-Canadian Kingdom one of the leading nations in the free world and together with the United States, French Republic, Andrean Republic and the Federation of Oceania founded the Democratic Federation.

Together with the remaining democratic nations of the world, the Anglo-Canadian Kingdom forged a new Empire in the stars. Sending countless colony ships into the Britannia Sector, the Anglo-Canadian Kingdom still holds its place as a leading member of the Democratic Federation.

Military

See: Commonwealth Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force

The Commonwealth Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force are collectively known as the British Armed Forces or Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and officially the Armed Forces of the Crown. The Commander in Chief is the Monarch, currently King Henry the Tenth and they are managed by the Ministry of Defence. In times of war, control is reassigned to the Supreme Commander of the Democratic Federation.

The Anglo-Canadian Kingdom fields one of the most powerful and efficient armed forces in the Orion Region. Its interstellar power projection is second rate compared to the armed forces of the Greater German Reich or Soviet Union but within the Democratic Federation has the largest Naval tonnage, and the 2nd largest share of tactical combat aircraft after the United States. Also of note are the Anglo-Canadian Blue Knights, who are regarded by many as the unsurpassed masters of interstellar dogfighting.

The Commonwealth Army is comparably smaller then other Democratic forces, and is made entirely of volunteers, a fact that many citizens regard with significant pride.

Planets

See Democratic Federation Planets

The Capital of the Anglo-Canadian Kingdom is New London, home to the King and station to the 1st Royal Fleet. Hampshire, and Yorkshire make up the Empires “breadbasket” with Birmingham, Derbyshire, and Leicester as the nations industrial base.

Foreign Relations

While allied with all the nations of the Democratic Federation, the Anglo-Canadian Kingdom has especially close ties with the United States, and the Federation of Oceania. Joint exploration between the US and Anglo Canadian Kingdom has been conducted for over a century while Oceania has provided luxury goods to the worlds of the Commonwealth.
